Question 1

What is involved in designing a new HVAC system?

Accepted Answer

Designing a new HVAC system involves more than simply replacing your existing equipment with the same size unit. At One Legacy Heating & Air Conditioning, we evaluate your home as a complete system to make sure the new equipment is properly matched to your comfort needs.

Home & Comfort Evaluation: We start by reviewing your existing HVAC system and discussing any comfort issues you may be experiencing, such as hot or cold rooms, excessive run times, poor airflow, high energy usage, or inconsistent temperatures.

Proper System Sizing: Bigger isn’t always better when it comes to HVAC equipment. We evaluate your home’s size, layout, insulation, windows, and other factors to determine the appropriate heating and cooling capacity. Proper sizing helps improve comfort, efficiency, humidity control, and equipment life.

Airflow & Ductwork Review: Your new system can only perform as well as the air distribution system supporting it. We evaluate airflow, return-air capacity, filtration, and accessible ductwork and identify any issues that could limit the performance of the new equipment.

Professional Installation: Proper installation is just as important as choosing the right equipment. Our installation process includes attention to refrigerant requirements, electrical connections, condensate drainage, equipment placement, airflow, and manufacturer specifications.

System Startup & Final Testing: Once installation is complete, we test the system to confirm proper operation and performance. We’ll also walk you through your thermostat, system operation, and recommended maintenance so you know how to get the most from your new HVAC system.

Question 2

How long does an HVAC installation typically take?

Accepted Answer

Most residential HVAC installations can be completed within one to two days, depending on the type of system, accessibility, and the scope of work involved.

Before installation begins, our team reviews the project and lets you know what to expect. If additional work is needed such as duct modifications, electrical upgrades, attic access, or other improvements, we’ll discuss it with you beforehand whenever possible.

Our goal isn’t to rush the installation. We take the time needed to install, test, and verify your new system is operating properly before the job is considered complete.

Question 3

Can you help with existing ductwork or system upgrades?

Accepted Answer

Yes. During our evaluation, we can inspect your existing ductwork and airflow to determine whether it is properly supporting your HVAC system.

Older, damaged, undersized, or poorly designed ductwork can contribute to uneven temperatures, restricted airflow, excessive system run times, and unnecessary energy loss. When needed, we can recommend practical improvements such as duct repairs, modifications, additional return air, or replacement.

Not every home needs new ductwork. Our goal is to identify what actually needs attention and recommend improvements that will help your system perform the way it was designed to.

Question 4

Do you offer services for both residential and commercial properties?

Accepted Answer

Yes. One Legacy Heating & Air Conditioning provides HVAC installation and system design for both residential and commercial properties.

Every property has different heating, cooling, airflow, and usage requirements. We evaluate the space, existing equipment, ductwork, and overall needs of the property before recommending a system designed for reliable performance and efficiency.

Whether you’re replacing the HVAC system in your home, upgrading equipment at a commercial property, or planning a new installation, we’ll help you determine the right solution for the space and your specific needs.
